Any Minute Now

Our souls twirl along the borders of impermanence
A liminal space wedged in-between the warmth of the sun and sweet oblivion

How terrifying it is to be blinded
By the sensation of our own existence

We are nothing more than liberated fragments of the universe
Living in a projection of our deepest desires

Miserable creatures that oppress the Earth
With our illusions of paradise and euphoria

Why should the universe dance to the music of our minds
when we have neglected to see it for what it truly is?

We have forgotten that light was born inside the womb of darkness

To accept our transience is a form of deep salvation,
A way to dissolve the chains wielded by mankind

Each and every breath we take
Is an ode to the cycle of creation

The pulp of life can only be found
Within the webs of death

Surrendering to the temptations of sentience,
We give in to the madness that is the universe

We must be fearless when reaching out
To pick the fruit of life

For when we do, we have no choice
But to rendezvous with the reaper

To conquer death we must release
Our attachment to life

We are blinded to the meaning of life
As long as we keep our eyes open
