A Month of Isolation

Here I am
Sitting inside of this room
Watching the trees bathe in the breath of spring
Taunting me as they unfurl their branches
And uncoil their leaves
I wish I could go outside
And stretch my arms out toward the sun
Only then will I awaken from this dreary slumber
Oh how I envy the trees
I could almost feel it
